Left panel tree menu

The left panel is the project tree.

TODO screenshot: show the left panel tree with the main hierarchy expanded, with the active selection and visibility controls highlighted.

Site groups

Surroundings

Lists imported context objects.

Use this group to:

  • select context meshes,
  • rename them,
  • toggle visibility,
  • and inspect them individually in Properties.

Informed spaces

Lists all informed spaces.

Use this group to:

  • rename phenomena,
  • toggle visibility,
  • select one or many informed spaces,
  • and confirm whether they are active in the scene.

Boundary

The boundary is the main site object.

Opening the boundary also exposes:

  • Massing
  • Sections

Massing

The massing tree item represents the overall Urban Grid result. Expanding it shows individual generated massing items such as Massing 1, Massing 2, and so on.

Sections

The sections tree item lists generated section instances, ordered by display order.

Visibility modes

Different groups support different visibility modes:

  • Surroundings: solid visibility.
  • Informed spaces: solid or particle visibility.
  • Massing: solid or particle visibility.
  • Sections: all section visibility modes.

Use visibility toggles to isolate only the geometry you are reviewing.

Selection behavior

Selecting an object usually opens its parent section automatically.

Examples:

  • selecting a surroundings object opens Surroundings,
  • selecting an informed space opens Informed spaces,
  • selecting a section opens Boundary and Sections,
  • selecting a massing item opens Boundary and Massing.
