Properties panel

The Properties panel changes with selection.

When nothing is selected: project properties

Object Type

Always Project in project mode.

Project File Path

Current file path of the .qubu project file.

Daylighting properties

  • Country: daylighting ruleset used for calculations.
  • North offset: clockwise rotation of north away from scene Y.
  • Direct sunlight target: required direct-sunlight duration in minutes.
  • Summary shading angle: target angle for summary shading angle evaluation.
  • Building reflectance: building-surface reflectance used in daylighting.
  • Precision: daylighting quality level: Low, Medium, High.
  • Ground sensors: whether daylight sensors are also placed on the ground plane.

Canvas properties

  • Origin X / Y / Z: scene-grid origin.
  • Rotation: canvas rotation in degrees.
  • Cell Side Length: horizontal grid cell size.
  • Cell Height: vertical grid cell size.

Boundary properties

  • Name: boundary name in the tree.
  • Object Type: Boundary.
  • Number of Vertices: number of boundary vertices.
  • Z coordinate: boundary elevation; also affects canvas origin Z.

Surroundings properties

  • Name
  • Object Type: Surroundings
  • Number of Vertices
  • Color: display material color.
  • Add Daylight Sensors: use the object as a daylight control surface.
  • Daylight Obstruction: make the object block daylight.
  • Use In Distancing Calculation: include the object in Urban Massing context spacing.
  • Required Minimum Distance: custom minimum spacing to this object.
  • Material Reflectance: reflectance percentage used in daylighting.
  • Translation X / Y / Z: move the imported mesh.

Section properties

  • Name
  • Object Type: Section
  • Section Type
  • Number of Typical Floors
  • Size of Grid Cell X / Y: section module size.
  • Size of Core X / Y: core size in grid cells.
  • Size of Core (m): derived core dimensions in meters.
  • Rotation
  • Position X / Y

Hard Targets

Per-section hard limits shown for the selected section:

  • Floor count
  • X Size
  • Y Size
  • Bay Size for towers
  • Bay Y Size for hallways
  • Bay X Size and Bay Y Size for corridors

Soft Targets

Same fields as Hard Targets, but used as softer preferences instead of strict limits.

Urban Grid properties

  • Name: fixed as Urban Grid for a single selection.
  • Object Type: Urban Grid.
  • Size of Cell Side (from Canvas): current canvas cell-side value.
  • Height of Cell (from Canvas): current canvas cell-height value.

Informed Space properties

  • Name
  • Object Type: Informed Space
  • Color
  • Placement Impact:
    • None
    • Place here
    • Always place here
    • Do not place here
    • Never place here
