How to edit informed spaces

Use this guide when an informed space is in the project but needs better naming, visibility, or placement impact.

Select the informed space you want to change

1. Open Informed spaces in the left tree.
2. Select the informed space.
3. Hide unrelated geometry if it slows down inspection.

Edit the informed-space properties

1. Change Name if the current label is unclear.
2. Change Color if you need faster visual recognition in the viewport.
3. Set Placement Impact to the intended behavior:
   • None
   • Place here
   • Always place here
   • Do not place here
   • Never place here

Check the effect in the next generation pass

1. Run massing generation again.
2. Open Reports → Informed spaces.
3. Review overlap and occupancy values for the edited space.

Tighten only after the soft rule works

• Start with Place here or Do not place here.
• Move to Always place here or Never place here only after the geometry and site setup are already trusted.

Use Properties panel and Reports panel when you need the field meanings.
