How to import cadastral GeoJSON
Use this guide when you already have a cadastral GeoJSON downloaded from app.qubu.io and need it in Studio as the project boundary.
TODO screenshot: show a cadastral GeoJSON import result, with the site boundary selected in the left tree and the parcel shape highlighted in the viewport.
Prepare the file
- Download the cadastral GeoJSON from
app.qubu.io. - Keep the file unchanged until you confirm the import works.
- Close any running generation in Studio before you import.
Import the cadastral boundary
- Open Main menu → Import → Import GeoJSON....
- Select the downloaded cadastral GeoJSON file.
- Let Studio import it as Site boundary.
- Wait for the boundary to appear in the left tree.
Check the imported site immediately
- Select the boundary in the left tree.
- Confirm the boundary shape matches the parcel you expected.
- Check the Z coordinate in Properties only if the site must align to imported context or an existing scene.
- Fit the view with F.
Continue only after the boundary is confirmed
- Import surroundings after the cadastral boundary is correct.
- Set canvas rotation and north offset after the boundary is in place.
- Start massing generation only after you trust the imported parcel.
For the import fields and save/export behavior, use the Importing, exporting, and project files reference.
